Who Won the 3rd Presidential Debate? Poll Roundup

Its the last debate, so I’m keeping up the tradition of the quick poll round up. Here’s what I’ve got so that you can check the latest yourself (or vote). See the links. I’ll be updating periodically.

Obama McCain Neither Votes
CNN Quick Poll 72% 22% 6% 422350
WSJ Quick Poll 39.4% 60.5% 2.8% 677286
MSNBC 82.2% 14.3% 2.5% 243781

UDPATE: This morning (Oct 16), a regular poll

Fifty-eight percent of debate watchers questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll said Democratic candidate Obama did the best job in the debate, with 31 percent saying Republican Sen. John McCain performed best.

The poll also suggests that debate watchers’ favorable opinion of Obama rose slightly during the debate, from 63 percent at the start to 66 percent at the end. The poll indicates that McCain’s favorables dropped slightly, from 51 percent to 49 percent.

NOTE: see my other posts on previous polls and their comments for notes about poll accuracy, bias, perhaps even deceit.

  1. I believe we have a real problem with the media in this country because even when I believe Presidential elect John McCain clearly won the 3rd debate television lied that night when they said B, Obama won.

I was so disgusted I will only watch one t.v. station between now and the election.
I also no longer care what the media reports about anything, because I can no longer trust them, as they are all so biased.
Too bad Tim Russert is no longer with us since he was excellent at balanced reporting.
It is a sad day in American indeed when people think they can buy our election process , i.e. the one with the most money wins?????????
May God influence and convict ea. one of our hearts in that voting booth, because I want change but I am not ready for the liberalism being peddled. One more thing, we all remember that Bill Clinton promised he would not raise our taxes, and he broke his promise. I am so serious about all this I take notes, and see who breaks promises, because it is their word. What has become of truth in America and integrity?
When I was a child you were who you kept company with. You made a promise and you kept it.
Can we afford National Healthcare, no one has told us how much that will cost us all, and WE SHOULD ALL KNOW, WE the Middle Class, will be paying for it. I am already struggling with high taxes, College Tuition and balancing my budget. The cost of oil was passed onto me in the form of higher taxes, but I don’t have anyone to pass the bill along to. WAKE UP AMERICA AND SMELL THE COFFEE BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.

  2. Okay, J.Kelly, but since we all get pretty much all of our information from the media, how do you know whether the bias is from the right or the left?
